The Westhern Highlands Culture

The Western Highlands Culture hails from the very coldest climate of the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea.
The capital city of Western Highlands Province is Mt. Hagen.
The Western Highlanders occasionally participates in any celebrations in their provincial head quarters or elsewhere.
They have all kinds of traditional dressing equipment for dressing themselves to go and show out to the public with their traditional songs using their own language.
At any time any special occasions or events to be held, the people of Mt. Hagen must be well organized to go and celebrate.
The very special time for them to display their cultural singing and dances are the time of Independence day of Papua New Guinea, Easters, Christmas times, National Election Periods and Mt. Hagen Cultural Show time every year.

These group of men are from Tambul District Western Highlands Province. This celebration was the time of 2012 National Election period. They were trying to welcome their new candidate and show him how many people will be voted him when time for casting votes.
Very nice and enjoyable days for the Highlands of Papua New Guinea.

Hey... friends around the world, just imaging that you are in the middle of these singing group and singing WAIPA!WAIPA!WAIPA (waa-ee-paa) with them.
What would you feel?
