The designs here represents the favorites of the three provinces of highlands regions in Papua New Guinea. The man with white paint beard, red and yellow shaped represents the Western Highlands traditions. The man with black and white stripes represents the Engan traditions. Front head of cassowary represents Southern Highlands Provincial Emblem. The other designs represents mountains, rivers and tribal fighting weapons.

The Western Highlands Culture hails from the very coldest climate of the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea. The capital city of Western Highlands Province is Mt. Hagen. The Western Highlanders occasionally participates in any celebrations in their provincial head quarters or elsewhere. They have all kinds of traditional dressing equipment for dressing themselves to go and show out to the public with their traditional songs using their own language. At any time any special occasions or events to be held, the people of Mt. Hagen must be well organized to go and celebrate. The very special time for them to display their cultural singing and dances are the time of Independence day of Papua New Guinea, Easters, Christmas times, National Election Periods and Mt. Hagen Cultural Show time every year.
